Dubai: In a remarkable achievement, the hospitality wing of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) recorded a stellar 1.28 million visitors in 2025, an impressive 37% rise from the previous year's 930,000 attendees across 2,578 events.

These outstanding results highlight DWTC Hospitality's pivotal role as a premier supplier of extensive and tailored catering solutions for diverse clients, including governmental, corporate, and private sectors in the region.

Significant Venue Engagement

DWTC Hospitality has broadened its reach within key venues, notably the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai Exhibition Centre, and Jafza One Convention Centre.

Beyond its in-house facilities, the division adeptly managed numerous off-site and private functions throughout the UAE, demonstrating its vast operational agility.

Executive Insights

Mahir Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, remarked on the division's essential contribution to Dubai's robust events ecosystem. He expressed that the organization continues to provide exceptional services while ramping up operations to accommodate rising global demands.

He underscored the significance of ongoing investments in infrastructure, skilled talent, and multi-venue capabilities, coupled with the expansion of Dubai Exhibition Centre, which will be vital for upcoming major events and fortifying Dubai's international standing.

Exhibition Catering on the Rise

The exhibition catering segment saw significant acceleration in 2025, hosting over 240,000 guests—double the 120,000 served in 2024.

Key events contributing to this growth included Gulfood, World Health Expo Dubai, Arabian Travel Market, and GITEX Global.

Moreover, DWTC Hospitality's international initiatives, including support for GITEX Africa, exemplified its cross-border operational capabilities.

Strong Performance in Conferences and Business Activities

The sector for conferences, associations, and corporate gatherings flourished, catering to over 123,000 participants, affirming Dubai's appeal as a rigorous center for high-profile business engagements.

Corporate and Private Events Show Steady Growth

Corporate engagements and private occasions marked a substantial growth trajectory, serving more than 600,000 guests, up from 400,000 in 2024.

The wedding sector also excelled, with 56,554 guests, exemplifying DWTC Hospitality's capacity to curate both large and personalized gatherings.

Enhanced Venue Capabilities

The consistent growth of venues such as the Dubai Exhibition Centre and Jafza One Convention Centre played a vital role, collectively hosting over 80,000 guests.

This multi-facility strategy empowers DWTC to efficiently manage an increasing volume of events whilst ensuring exceptional service quality.

Growth in Off-Site Catering Services

Off-site catering functions grew by 12%, serving over 160,000 guests at 1,211 events.

DWTC Hospitality played a crucial role in major events such as the Dubai International Boat Show, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Dubai World Cup, MEBAA Show, and numerous gatherings at Ain Dubai.
