The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), recognized as a frontrunner in mobility services within Dubai, has successfully secured 600 new taxi license plates from the latest auction held by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority.

This latest expansion further cements DTC's position as the premier taxi operator in Dubai, increasing its market share to 47 percent. The total count of the company's fleet will rise from 6,217 vehicles to an impressive 6,817.

These new taxis are set to be rolled out in phases, commencing July 2026. This strategic rollout is designed to sustain operational efficiency while guaranteeing exceptional service quality for users. It is also a proactive step towards addressing the growing demand for transport services throughout the city.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, noted that the addition of these 600 taxi plates represents a significant milestone in the company's developmental strategy. He emphasized that this expansion showcases the strong confidence in Dubai's rapidly evolving mobility and urban development landscape.

Alfalasi further mentioned that the phased implementation of these vehicles is expected to optimize asset utilization, enhance financial performance, and progressively elevate the customer experience.

Moreover, this expansion aligns seamlessly with the Dubai government's vision and that of the RTA to cultivate a smart, integrated transportation system. It also supports the aspirations outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which is aimed at establishing Dubai as a forerunner in advanced urban services.
