A significant achievement unfolded in Dubai as the inaugural cohort of the Dubai Health Leadership Academy’s Systems Leadership Program graduated, marking a pivotal moment in advancing healthcare leadership in the region. The event took place at the Museum of the Future.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board, and His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Board's Vice Chairman, graced the ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to nurturing capable leaders in the healthcare sector.
Collaborating with the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford, the program saw 40 seasoned professionals complete a rigorous 14-month curriculum focused on enhancing strategic thinking and healthcare innovation.
Sheikh Ahmed noted the program embodies Dubai’s vision to cultivate leadership that can foster transformation and seize opportunities within the healthcare landscape. He expressed his pride in the graduates whose influence will refine healthcare quality in Dubai.
Sheikh Mansoor emphasized that this milestone is crucial in the ongoing journey towards a robust, knowledge-based healthcare framework in Dubai.
The graduation ceremony also featured esteemed officials, including Her Excellency Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, member of the Dubai Health Board; His Excellency Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Director General of Dubai Health Authority; and His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health.
Dr. Alawi defined the program as pivotal for advancing transformation within the healthcare system, emphasizing the necessity for leaders adept in managing complexities and providing comprehensive care.
Dr. Sharif highlighted the Academy’s aim to craft leaders capable of responding to Dubai's swiftly evolving healthcare system, acknowledging the support from Sheikh Ahmed and Sheikh Mansoor.
His gratitude extended to strategic partners such as Emirates and Dubai Airports, whose contributions enriched the program’s practical insights.
