Dubai Enhances Public Service Through Unified City Makers Initiative

Dubai, UAE — In a major move to ensure top-tier public services, Dubai has reaffirmed its dedication as His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum convened with leaders of the City Makers initiative. This vital cross-government program is designed to enhance services that significantly influence the community's daily lives.

The meeting, organized by the General Secretariat of The Executive Council, allowed Sheikh Maktoum to assess advancements in service enhancements, all aimed at reinforcing Dubai's aspiration to be the world's “best and most beautiful city.” He reiterated that the initiative is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, promoting a cohesive government model centered on citizen needs.

Sheikh Maktoum pointed out that the collaborative spirit among Dubai's government teams is essential. He emphasized that understanding community needs and delivering smooth, integrated services are crucial for keeping Dubai’s social and economic dynamism. He mentioned that the development of public services will remain focused on the community, facilitated by coordinated efforts across all government bodies.

The discussions underscored Dubai’s remarkable growth trajectory. The city's populace has surged past four million, while Dubai International Airport has welcomed 93.8 million passengers in the year ending September 2025, establishing it as one of the world’s top three travel hubs. Officials noted that these successes reflect effective collective action across multiple government sectors.

The City Makers initiative continues to emphasize services that yield tangible benefits for the community, covering areas like social welfare programs, health services, cultural preservation, and partnerships that boost public systems' readiness.

Sheikh Maktoum expressed his gratitude towards the teams spearheading these initiatives, referring to them as “city makers,” whose contributions enhance community well-being and align with the Dubai 2033 Plan objectives.

With unified government efforts, Dubai aspires to set unparalleled benchmarks for service excellence and solidify its standing on the global stage.
