The blockbuster film Dhurandhar, led by Ranveer Singh, continues to rule the box office in India, boasting impressive earnings. The gripping plot and engaging tracks, particularly the viral FA9LA dance featuring Akshaye Khanna, have resonated well with audiences. Another standout is the dance number Shararat, featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza, which has quickly gained popularity.

Choreographer Vijay Ganguly disclosed that Tamannaah Bhatia was initially considered for the Shararat number, but director Aditya Dhar opted for a duo instead. He explained that the intention was to keep the song aligned with the film’s narrative without diverting focus, stating, “If it was Tamannaah, the attention would have been on her, not the story. That’s why there are two dancers instead of one.”

Set against a wedding backdrop, the song enhances the storyline without overshadowing it. Vijay emphasized that the movie has a layered narrative, hence the song integrates into the plot rather than functioning as a standalone “item number.”

Ayesha Khan has shared some behind-the-scenes glimpses, showcasing her joy about Dhurandhar. She commended Aditya Dhar’s creativity and world-building, highlighting how it allows viewers to deeply connect with the characters and environment. Krystle D’Souza also expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming fan support, revealing that her inbox is filled with dance covers and screenshots from fans.

Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar draws inspiration from actual covert RAW missions, particularly related to Operation Lyari. The film stars an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The sequel is slated for release on March 19, 2026.

Globally, the film has surpassed ₹800 crore at the box office, with ₹555.5 crore attributed to India alone. Dhurandhar has successfully entered the ranks of the top ten highest-grossing Indian films, surpassing Animal while continuing to attract audiences even with the release of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire & Ash.
