Ranveer Singh's global fanbase has every reason to celebrate. After his last appearance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and a cameo in Singham Again, the actor returns to the big screen with the highly awaited thriller Dhurandhar. The film is written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar and features a strong ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. It also marks Ranveer’s first collaboration with Aditya Dhar.

Dhurandhar draws inspiration from real-life geopolitical conflicts and undercover missions of RAW, particularly focusing on Operation Lyari, a major crackdown on gang networks in Lyari, Karachi, Pakistan. With an intense storyline, captivating background score, and large-scale production, the film has been one of the most talked-about releases of the year. It is also among the longest films ever made in Indian cinema.

Ahead of its release overseas, critic Umari Sandhu reviewed the film on Twitter, awarding it four stars. He praised its gripping screenplay, action sequences, and production value, especially the recreation of Karachi’s Lyari region. He highlighted Ranveer Singh’s performance and applauded Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna for their impactful roles. Sandhu also mentioned that the final half-hour of the film delivers a shocking twist and claimed that Bollywood is returning to its “golden days.”

Speaking at a press conference, Ranveer Singh showed admiration for debutante Sara Arjun. He called her a “child prodigy,” comparing her to Hollywood actress Dakota Fanning. He also praised her range, confidence, and natural talent, stating that her performance elevates his presence on screen. Ranveer expressed pride in sharing the screen with her and said the world will soon recognize her potential.
