Brad Pitt Takes Legal Action Against Angelina Jolie Over Winery Sale

Post by : Mina Carter

In the latest twist of the legal saga involving Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the Fight Club actor has initiated a lawsuit over their jointly-owned Chateau Miraval winery. Recent court filings reveal exchanges between Brad’s representatives and Jolie’s legal team about her 2021 decision to sell her share of the winery, which they previously co-owned.

The couple finalized their divorce in December 2024, almost eight years after their separation in 2016. They share six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox—and have been entangled in numerous legal conflicts since their split.

Brad initially filed suit in 2022, alleging that Angelina violated a prior agreement prohibiting the sale of her stake without mutual consent.

Recent court documents include a November 2023 email from Jolie's attorneys in response to Brad's lawsuit, arguing that the request for proof of $35 million in damages is a result of Mr. Pitt’s own actions.

Angelina’s legal representatives also underscored that Brad is pursuing claims for ongoing damages linked to Miraval's operations but has failed to provide evidence justifying his request for a four-year NDA concerning personal misconduct.

Brad Pitt is seeking 22 specific documents, disputing Angelina Jolie’s recent assertion of attorney-client privilege to withhold certain communications.
