Renowned singer Armaan Malik has announced the postponement of his highly awaited concert in Delhi, initially set for November 15, in the wake of a devastating explosion near the Red Fort on November 10. This tragic event, linked to a car bomb, resulted in the loss of at least 12 lives and injured many others, prompting a comprehensive review of safety protocols by event organizers across the NCR.
Taking to Instagram, Armaan expressed his deep regret about the situation. He stated, “Delhi, I regret to inform you that my concert on November 15th has been postponed due to recent events. I will share more updates shortly,” highlighting his concern for the victims and commitment to fan safety.
In conjunction with his announcement, he posted an official statement clarifying that the Aiiidon Malik Live in Delhi event scheduled at Nexus Select Citywalk will not occur on the set date. The communication stressed that the decision stemmed from a commitment to the safety of attendees, staff, and crew. A new date is expected to be revealed soon, with reassurance that all current tickets purchased via BookMyShow will remain valid for the rescheduled performance.
Event organizers confirmed that the decision was crucial given the seriousness of the incident and out of respect for the victims and their families. They emphasized the importance of safety, advising the public to remain vigilant as investigations continue.
Similarly, actor Piyush Mishra has also decided to cancel his upcoming show in Gurugram, originally planned for November 15, due to the same incident. In an emotional post on Instagram, he remarked that the event would remain on hold until it is safe to proceed. “Our Gurugram show on November 15 has been cancelled for now, following the unfortunate incident at Red Fort, Delhi. We stand with the city during this challenging time and will announce a new date once conditions allow,” he added, concluding with the patriotic dialogue, “Inklaab Zindabad, Jai Hind.”
Authorities have classified the blast on November 10 near the Red Fort as a deliberate terror act involving a vehicle explosion in a heavily populated area of the capital, leading to multiple casualties and widespread alarm. Investigations are ongoing, and security personnel remain on high alert in public spaces.
In light of the incident, many public events scheduled for the Delhi-NCR region have been either postponed or cancelled. Organisers are collaborating closely with local officials to ensure adherence to safety norms while reassessing upcoming events.
Despite the disappointment they feel, many fans of Armaan Malik have shown understanding towards the postponement given the unfortunate circumstances. His statement has gained traction online, with admirers appreciating the focus on safety and unity.
Both Armaan Malik and Piyush Mishra are anticipated to announce revised show dates after security agencies provide more clarity. Until then, the entertainment industry remains in solidarity with the residents of Delhi as the city mourns and copes with the aftermath of this tragic occurrence.
