In the first quarter of 2026, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department successfully issued 778 building completion certificates, reflecting a notable increase of 26.9% from the 613 certificates issued in the same quarter of 2025.

This surge emphasizes the robust growth within Ajman's construction industry, aligned with the emirate's commitment to comprehensive urban development as part of Ajman Vision 2030.

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, the Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, stated that this upward trend showcases the heightened activity in the construction field. He noted that Ajman is solidifying its appeal as a top choice for both living and investment due to its modern infrastructure and supportive regulatory framework.

He further assured that the issuance of completion certificates involves thorough verification, ensuring that all projects adhere to building regulations, safety protocols, and technical specifications. This procedure is executed in collaboration with pertinent authorities, guaranteeing sustainable and high-quality developments.

Engineer Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, the Director of the Buildings Department, mentioned that the department is consistently enhancing its systems and streamlining processes to offer quicker, more efficient services. Various application avenues have been implemented to expedite approvals and elevate customer satisfaction.

He elaborated that completion certificates are awarded only when construction is fully finalized in accordance with approved designs and engineering criteria. He also underscored the significant role of contractors and consultancy firms in upholding quality benchmarks.

Recently released data indicates that the eastern sector achieved the highest count of completion certificates in Q1 2026. In contrast, both the central sector and city center displayed a range of premier projects, suggesting a balanced evolution of urban development throughout Ajman.
