Abhishek Bachchan Celebrates Agastya Nanda's Role in Upcoming Film Ikkis

Actor Abhishek Bachchan has expressed his admiration for nephew Agastya Nanda, who will take on a pivotal role in the forthcoming war drama Ikkis. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this film narrates the tale of Arun Khetarpal, an Indian Army Second Lieutenant and the youngest ever recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who tragically lost his life at 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.

Abhishek shared a behind-the-scenes clip from Ikkis, highlighting Agastya's feelings regarding the privilege of embodying such a significant figure. Agastya remarked, “Arun Khetarpal is a legendary figure. I feel extremely grateful to play him and bring his story to the audience.” Abhishek responded on social media, commending Agastya’s commitment and labeling it a “huge honour and responsibility,” sending his wishes for success and blessings.

The film features a talented ensemble that includes Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Aadyanshi Kapoor, Simar Bhatia, Ekavali Khanna, Shree Bishnoi, Sikandar Kher, and Akashh Alonia. Set to premiere on December 25, 2025, Ikkis aims to honor Arun Khetarpal’s courageous legacy amidst the backdrop of the 1971 war.

Agastya revealed in earlier conversations how playing a soldier imparted vital lessons about discipline, respect, and manners. He mentioned that just experiencing the fauji lifestyle was invaluable, granting him insight into an army officer's life. Both fans and family, including Abhishek, enthusiastically await Agastya’s performance in this much-anticipated film.
