Zarine Khan, the cherished wife of renowned actor Sanjay Khan and mother to designer Sussanne Khan, peacefully passed away at her home in Mumbai this morning at the age of 81. She had been facing age-related health challenges for some time.
She is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and children Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan. Renowned for her warmth and grace, Zarine was a cornerstone of her family and played a pivotal role in nurturing her children's lives.
The love story between Sanjay and Zarine is fondly recalled. They first met unexpectedly at a bus stop and quickly fell in love, leading to their marriage in 1966. Zarine also made contributions to the film industry, appearing in beloved films such as Tere Ghar Ke Saamne and Ek Phool Do Mali.
Earlier this year, Sussanne honored her mother’s 81st birthday by sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, displaying candid family moments. She expressed:
