AI Workshop by SDAIA and World Bank Enhances Global Cooperation

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in collaboration with the World Bank, has initiated an international workshop named “Towards the Future: AI Governance and International Cooperation.” This event is being held in Washington, D.C., from April 6 to 10, uniting global experts, international institutions, and government officials.

Focusing on enhancing global standards for artificial intelligence governance, the workshop aims to share best practices, promote responsible use of emerging technologies, and foster a secure digital ecosystem that aligns with sustainable development objectives.

Key topics discussed at the event include boosting multilateral collaboration, harmonizing international frameworks with national policies, and tackling future challenges posed by swift advancements in AI technologies.

Alongside the workshop, SDAIA, in partnership with the Digital Government Authority and the World Bank, is hosting a notable “Saudi Day” event. This platform highlights Saudi Arabia’s national strategy for adopting advanced AI technologies and showcases various successful applications across different sectors.

The event also highlights the Kingdom’s initiatives in digital infrastructure, which play a crucial role in government efficiency and overall enhancement of life quality.

This workshop further solidifies the strategic alliance between SDAIA and the World Bank and exemplifies Saudi Arabia’s rising influence in global discussions on artificial intelligence. It underscores the Kingdom’s dedication to innovation and technology leadership aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
