Indian cricket luminary Virat Kohli achieved another milestone by scoring a stunning century during the third ODI against New Zealand in Indore on Sunday.
Kohli showcased his brilliant form, reaching his hundred in just 91 balls with a spectacular array of 8 fours and 2 sixes. This innings brought his total to seven ODI centuries against New Zealand, setting a new record for the most by any batter in this format.
With this accomplishment, Kohli has surpassed legends Ricky Ponting and Virender Sehwag, who each recorded six centuries against the Kiwis. Both Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya are tied in third place with five ODI centuries each.

Despite Kohli's remarkable performance, India fell short by 41 runs, allowing New Zealand to clinch the three-match ODI series 2-1.
Chasing a formidable target of 338 runs, India found itself in trouble early on, dropping to 71 for four. Kohli's resilient 124 off 108 balls marked his 54th ODI century. He received notable support from Nitish Kumar Reddy (53) and Harshit Rana (52), but the team ultimately fell to 296 all out in 46 overs.
For New Zealand, Zak Foulkes (3/77) and Kristian Clarke (3/54) took six wickets collectively, with spinner Jayden Lennox contributing 2/42 in his 10 overs.
Earlier in the match, New Zealand put up an impressive score of 337 for eight in their 50 overs, fueled by centuries from Daryl Mitchell (137) and Glenn Phillips (106).
Kohli's innings also raised his total of centuries against New Zealand across all formats to 10, the highest for any player.
