The renowned filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is under investigation in Udaipur following a fraud complaint associated with a film production deal. The FIR has been filed at the Bhupalpura police station and is currently being investigated.
Dr. Ajay Murdia, the complainant, alleges he had a contract with Bhatt’s production company to produce films and documentaries in honor of his deceased wife. He asserts that while he paid for four films, only two were delivered, and granted inadequate credit. Furthermore, the high-budget project reportedly never commenced.
Authorities are scrutinizing the documents and contractual agreements before determining the next steps.
Bhaat has vehemently denied these allegations, contending that the police were misled by false information. He questions the credibility of the claims without any valid paperwork. Additionally, he highlighted that the complainant had collaborated with him on various projects, which contradicts the claims of fraud. Bhatt mentioned he possesses emails and contracts supporting his position.
This incident arises just after the release of Dr. Murdia’s latest film, Tumko Meri Kasam. Bhatt, who started his career under Mukul Anand, has a notable filmography, including Ghulam, Raaz, and the 1920 series.
The investigation continues to unfold.
