The University of Sharjah proudly celebrated the graduation of 664 female students during two impressive ceremonies, held under the sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University.
The first ceremony honored 335 graduates from the Colleges of Business Administration, Engineering, Computing and Informatics, and Science. Meanwhile, the second ceremony acknowledged 329 graduates from the Colleges of Communication, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Public Policy, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Fine Arts and Design, and Law.
The UAE national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an opened both ceremonies, creating a celebratory and respectful atmosphere.
During his address, Dr Essam Al Din Ajami, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his presence and support. He congratulated the graduates on their remarkable achievements and paid tribute to their families for their steadfast encouragement throughout their educational journeys.
Dr Ajami reiterated the university’s dedication to its mission of nurturing students capable of serving society with knowledge and values. He stated, “The University of Sharjah is not just a facility; it embodies a promise to foster human growth.” He emphasized the importance of women in shaping the future, linking knowledge with ethical values and scientific research to real-world issues.
Highlighting the university’s growing international reputation, he encouraged graduates to see themselves stepping into a world-class institution that has embraced excellence as its core philosophy. He pointed out the university's achievements in research and innovation, establishing it as a regional center for knowledge production.
Concluding his address, Dr Ajami urged the graduates to recognize the significant role of educated women as leaders, innovators, and catalysts for positive change in the realms of science and technology.
Hind Musallam Al Marzouqi from the College of Computing and Informatics, representing the graduates, extended gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for his esteemed presence and leadership. She acknowledged the support of the university’s administration, faculty, and families, promising to be ambassadors for their faith, nation, leadership, and university.
Reem Salah Al Hashemi from the College of Law, another graduate representative, remarked that the university was not just an educational institution but a space that cultivated confidence, critical thinking, and personal development. She congratulated all graduates, their families, and the university’s leadership and faculty.
As the ceremonies concluded, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi presented diplomas to all graduates, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
These celebrations not only highlighted academic success but also underscored the University of Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to empowering women and nurturing future leaders ready to advance the nation.
