Sharjah University Partners with NAMA to Enhance Women's Empowerment

Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Kalba, was present for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday, held at the university's headquarters with NAMA Women Advancement.

Dr Najwa Al Hosani, Chancellor of the University of Kalba, and Maryam Al Hammadi, Director-General of NAMA Women Advancement, were the signatories of the agreement.

This MoU is geared towards establishing a robust collaboration framework between both entities in crucial fields like scientific research, training, and media communication. It emphasizes the exchange of knowledge and aspiring joint objectives, particularly centered on women empowerment.

Regarding research initiatives, both parties will collaborate on the exchange and publication of scientific studies, conduct women-focused surveys, assist community groups, and secure ethical approvals for various research topics. The university will evaluate research documents and presentations made by NAMA at both local and international gatherings.

On the training and development front, the collaboration will focus on creating training materials, sourcing expert trainers, and endorsing specific programs featured by NAMA. The MoU will also facilitate training sessions tailored for female students, sharing training schedules, hosting field visits, and exchanging expertise. Faculty members from the university will also play a key role in enhancing training endeavors.

In terms of media communication, the agreement will enhance visibility for NAMA’s initiatives among students, faculty, and alumni. The two organizations will exchange media content on their platforms and utilize available resources for organizing events, activities, and diverse programs.

This collaboration underscores a mutual dedication to advancing women's growth through education, research, and professional training.
