2025 EMS Conference in Abu Dhabi Triumphs Global Emergency Services

Abu Dhabi has successfully wrapped up the significant EMS Conference 2025, uniting prominent emergency medical professionals, specialists, and innovators from around the world. Over three days, the event provided a vibrant platform for sharing best practices, cutting-edge technologies, and advancements in ambulance services.

The closing ceremony highlighted profound dedication and expertise, where Brigadier Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, commended paramedics and teams for their outstanding contributions. Awards were bestowed upon paramedics involved in life-saving CPR, those showcasing the highest response rates in 2025, and individuals excelling in special missions and emergency preparedness initiatives.

The celebration of international cooperation and scientific advancements was a key theme. Speakers from the conference, the Scientific Committee, trainers, and judges of the Ambulance Challenge were acknowledged for their valuable contributions to innovation and excellence.

Notably, the inaugural Ambulance Challenge in the Middle East and North Africa became a highlight, with 12 international teams competing to demonstrate their emergency response capabilities. The UAE National Ambulance team took first place, followed by teams from Australia and Qatar, representing a significant achievement in regional EMS training and collaboration.

Col Dr Maitha Mohammed Al Darei, Director of Ambulance Department and Chair of the Scientific Committee, emphasized the conference's significance in fostering international knowledge exchange, embracing modern technologies and AI, and standardizing protocols to improve the quality of emergency care. Additionally, the event focused on the well-being of frontline workers, integration of response entities, and the development of national talents to reinforce Abu Dhabi’s standing as a hub for ambulance and emergency services.

The conference concluded with a resounding commitment to innovation, international cooperation, and lifesaving excellence, underlining Abu Dhabi’s ambitious vision for smarter and more efficient emergency medical services.
