King Hamad Park Opens in UAE for Bahrain's National Day Celebration

In a significant gesture of friendship, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has inaugurated King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Park on Bahrain’s 54th National Day, December 16, 2025. This endeavor underscores the long-standing camaraderie and strategic partnership shared between the UAE and Bahrain.

The park is designed to be a welcoming green space for families, featuring over 1,100 mature Ghaf trees to foster an environment focused on wellness, recreation, and sustainability.

Visitors can take advantage of various modern facilities such as elevated walking paths, nature trails, a dense green canopy, a pump track, cycling paths, and a fully air-conditioned walkway stretching almost 700 meters, ensuring year-round comfort.

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, remarked that the park symbolizes the profound connection between the UAE and Bahrain, illustrating the close fraternal ties between their leadership and citizens.

In addition, the park features expansive green lawns, yoga and meditation areas, dynamic children’s play zones, and special fitness sections for seniors and individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity for everyone.

At its heart, a new café equipped with a cooled outdoor terrace and an elevated viewing area offers sweeping views of the lush canopy. Food trucks and water fountains are strategically placed throughout to enhance the visitor experience.

King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Park is poised to become a prominent recreational destination, celebrating unity, environmental health, and the robust partnership between the UAE and Bahrain.
