The United Arab Emirates has proudly introduced the fourth edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award, a national effort aimed at acknowledging exceptional companies, workers, entrepreneurs, and organizations that enhance the nation’s labour market. This initiative reflects the UAE’s dedication to fostering a competitive, innovative, and people-oriented economy.
Launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), this award is under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The latest iteration has been broadened to align with the UAE’s long-term economic strategies, particularly in light of the 2026 declaration as the “Year of Family,” emphasizing the importance of employee wellness, family support, and sustainable workplace practices.
This year's initiative features a revamped framework, comprising four primary categories alongside several specialized recognitions. The award seeks to celebrate Emirati entrepreneurs, multinational corporations, digitally transformative organizations, and those who excel in workforce protection and talent cultivation.
A central aspect of this award is the advocacy for family-friendly work environments and employee welfare. Companies implementing innovative policies that promote work-life balance, professional development, and employee wellness will receive distinct recognition for their contributions to a healthier, more efficient labour market.
Moreover, the award honors individual accomplishments across a range of professions. Business leaders, skilled technicians, frontline staff, supportive personnel, and family caretakers are among those eligible for acknowledgment. Officials assert that this initiative underscores the crucial contributions individuals make to boost the economy and foster community growth.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Chairman of the Award Supervisory Committee, remarked that this program serves as a vital platform for motivating excellence, innovation, and healthy rivalry within the UAE labour market. He added that it continues to bolster the nation’s aim of enhancing business competitiveness and private-sector productivity.
Participants will be rewarded significantly, with cash prizes reaching up to Dh100,000 for individual winners and exclusive benefits for businesses. First-place organizations will enjoy access to premium services from the ministry, priority assistance, and elite classification status. Applications for the 2026 edition remain open until August 31, with winners determined through a thorough evaluation based on governance, performance, and innovation metrics.
