In 2025, significant advancements were made in the UAE's national housing program, aimed at enhancing family stability and improving living conditions across the nation. Over the year, 3,567 housing approvals were granted, totaling AED2.546 billion, with nearly AED478 million distributed in the last quarter. This initiative encompasses residential loans, government grants for low-income families, and collaborative housing efforts with national banks.
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure rolled out a new funding program focused on senior citizens, providing insurance coverage up to the age of 95, protecting against death or total disability.
Abu Dhabi sealed agreements for the development of 13 residential communities worth AED106 billion, set to yield over 40,000 homes and land plots by 2029. Homeowners in Abu Dhabi can now access new financial supports, including a community subsidy of AED250,000, automatically deducted from housing loans of up to AED1.75 million, as well as extended repayment options up to 30 years. The overall housing aid disbursed in the emirate reached AED15.384 billion, benefiting over 10,700 residents.
Dubai has revealed housing initiatives amounting to AED5.4 billion, which includes the development of 3,004 new homes. An extra AED2 billion was allocated to construct 1,100 units in regions like Wadi Al-Amardi, Al Aweer, Hatta, and Oud Al Muteena. Additionally, the emirate launched an affordable housing program aimed at providing 17,000 units in its first phase targeted at employees in key sectors.
Sharjah’s Executive Council approved land grants for 3,500 beneficiaries, equally split between residential and investment plots.
