Abu Dhabi — 5 November 2025: The United Arab Emirates has warmly received the commencement of the peace agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, which was recently finalised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dubai’s partners in Abu Dhabi described the development as an opportunity to reinforce security and calm across Southeast Asia, and as a fresh platform for constructive dialogue, closer neighbourly ties, and shared progress for both countries.
In an official note, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledged the diplomatic role played by US President Donald Trump in helping create conditions conducive to the accord. The statement also recognised Malaysia’s important role as host and mediator, and highlighted complementary regional and international efforts to promote lasting stability.
The UAE expressed optimism that the pact will deepen cooperation and mutual understanding between Thailand and Cambodia. Reiterating its friendly relations with both nations, the UAE pledged continued support for initiatives that foster peace, development and prosperity while advancing constructive diplomacy in the region.
