The United Arab Emirates successfully intercepted six rogue drones over the span of 48 hours, thwarting attempts that targeted civilian areas and critical infrastructure across the nation.

The Ministry of Defence reported no reported injuries or damage during these interception operations. Officials commended the armed forces for their rapid responses, readiness, and robust defence capabilities in countering these aerial threats.

Further insights from the investigation into the May 17 drone attack on the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant were also disclosed by the ministry.

The investigation revealed that three drones were involved in the Barakah attack. Two of these drones were intercepted by the UAE's defence systems, while one drone managed to hit an electricity generator situated outside the plant's fortified zone.

Authorities confirmed through technical monitoring that the drones used in the Barakah attack, as well as others intercepted subsequently, had originated from Iraqi territory.

The UAE maintains its right to implement all necessary actions to safeguard its sovereignty, national security, and civilian targets in accordance with international regulations.

The Ministry of Defence reiterated that the UAE armed forces are fully equipped and prepared to tackle any threats to the nation's security and stability.
