With the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has successfully organized the packing of over 10 million meals aimed at aiding the people of Gaza. These meals will be dispatched via the Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship, as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, a vital initiative by the UAE to offer urgent assistance to Palestinians.

Sheikh Mohammed pointed out that the UAE, under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has consistently been among the initial responders in providing relief to Gaza. He praised the remarkable community response, which saw over 20,000 volunteers participating, significantly surpassing the initial target of 2,000 volunteers.

The meal packing event took place at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City, and garnered extensive community involvement. Sheikh Mohammed visited the location to engage with volunteers, commending their commitment and affirming that this initiative underscores the UAE’s principles of generosity, solidarity, and unwavering support for the Palestinian people.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary-General of MBRGI, emphasized that dispatching over 10 million meals is a continuation of the UAE’s humanitarian activities in Gaza. He lauded the community for demonstrating profound compassion, unity, and commitment during these trying times for Palestinians.

MBRGI, being the largest foundation of its type in the region, has invested over AED 2.2 billion in 2024, reaching nearly 149 million individuals across 118 nations. The foundation operates under five core pillars: Humanitarian Aid & Relief, Healthcare & Disease Control, Education & Knowledge Promotion, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Community Empowerment.

Founded in 2015, MBRGI combines more than 30 initiatives and institutions aimed at tackling global challenges, aiding vulnerable communities, and investing in human development. The Gaza humanitarian initiative showcases the UAE’s dedication to global solidarity and its pursuit of providing meaningful support to those in need.
