Turkmenistan's President Discusses Agricultural Initiatives

In a digital meeting, Turkmenistan's President, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, convened with Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyev and regional governors to assess the state of agricultural initiatives and regional development across the nation.

Participants provided updates on key farming activities, including wheat and cotton sowing as well as vegetable cultivation. Discussions centered on the application of fertilizers, irrigation strategies, and the adoption of advanced agricultural technology to boost yields.

The President underscored the necessity of timely cotton sowing and attentive maintenance of wheat and other spring crops, adhering to agricultural protocols. He highlighted that following agrotechnical standards is crucial for ensuring bountiful harvests.

Apart from crop concerns, officials shared updates on cocoon production initiatives and efforts to secure a steady supply of raw materials for the textile sector. Enhancements to domestic vegetable and food production were also emphasized.

Fire prevention measures were examined, given the heightened wildfire risk due to warming temperatures. The President urged officials to implement stringent safety protocols to safeguard agricultural areas and infrastructure.
