Eighteen-year-old Enzo Bettamio has been extradited from the UAE to the UK, facing charges for the murder of 27-year-old Kamonnan Thiamphanit, known as Angela.

He arrived in the UK from Dubai on Friday. Shortly after his arrival, he was charged and presented at Westminster Magistrates’ Court the following day.

In court, he was held in custody, with a future appearance scheduled at the Old Bailey on April 28. While he confirmed his identity, he did not enter a plea during the proceedings.

The Metropolitan Police reported that Thiamphanit was discovered with severe stab wounds at her residence in Westminster on April 8, 2024, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the case, expressed gratitude to the family and friends of the victim for their support and patience throughout this challenging time.

Thiamphanit’s family has been updated about the investigation and continues to receive assistance from specialized officers.

Thiamphanit, who held dual nationality from China-Hong Kong and Thailand, had resided in the UK for nearly a decade, initially moving there for her studies before working in property management.
