Pop star Taylor Swift has surprised her fans by quietly updating two songs from her 2017 album Reputation. These changes are now available on Apple Music in Dolby Atmos sound, which makes the music clearer and more detailed. The new lyrics give the songs a fresh and bold feel.
In the song “I Did Something Bad,” the original lyrics, “But if he drops my name, then I owe him nothing / And if he spends my change, then he had it comin’,” have been changed to, “If a man talks s---, then I owe him nothing / And if he calls me a bitch, then he had it comin’.”
The song “Delicate” also got a small change. The line, “Oh, damn, never seen that color blue,” has been updated to, “Goddamn, never seen that color blue.”
Fans reacted quickly on social media, excited about the new and uncensored lyrics. One fan wrote, “‘Reputation’ in Dolby Atmos is basically a Taylor’s Version. I can hear literally everything. EVERYTHING. Plus, the lyric changes. Rep TV was released December 12, 2025.”
Another fan said, “The ‘I Did Something Bad’ lyric change is real! I just heard it, and it blew my mind.” Many fans think this could mean Reputation (Taylor’s Version) might be coming soon. Comments included, “We’re about to get Reputation TV. She’s so funny,” and “Reputation TV is silently rolling out??? I forgive u, Miss Swift, OMG.”
Taylor Swift got control of her music masters in May 2025 and has already re-recorded her first six albums: Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989. But she had said before that she was unsure about re-recording Reputation because it was very personal and reflected a specific time in her life.
On her website, Swift wrote, “Full transparency: I haven’t even re-recorded a quarter of it. The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life. All that defiance, that longing to be understood while feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief… To be honest, it’s the one album in those first six that I thought couldn’t be improved by redoing it. Not the music, or the photos, or videos. There will be a time for the unreleased tracks from that album to come out.”
Fans are now excited and waiting to see what Taylor Swift will share next. These small changes have made one of her most famous albums feel fresh again.
