Actor Sunny Deol recently confronted photographers who were positioned outside his Mumbai residence. They attempted to capture images and videos during a particularly challenging period for his family, as his father, renowned actor Dharmendra, is unwell and currently receiving treatment at home.
On Wednesday, Sunny’s team issued a statement confirming that Dharmendra had returned home from the hospital, where his treatment will continue. They urged everyone to respect the family's privacy and avoid approaching them.
However, the following day, several photographers continued to linger outside the Deol household. When Sunny spotted them, he stepped outside and reprimanded them for their indiscretion, asking them to act with decency.
In a video circulated on social media, Sunny was heard saying, “You should have some shame. You all have parents and children. Yet, you’re filming like this. Don’t you feel embarrassed?”
Sunny expressed his frustration over photographers trailing his family for several days—from the hospital to their home—recording even their food deliveries.
Earlier this week, false rumors circulated online about Dharmendra's passing, prompting his family to quickly clarify that he was alive and on the path to recovery. His wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol affirmed his recovery status.
Later, Sunny shared a message appreciating fans for their support and prayers, stating: “My father Dharmendra has been discharged and will recuperate at home. We kindly ask everyone to refrain from spreading rumors and to respect our privacy. Thank you for your love and good wishes.”
This incident has sparked a broader conversation about the need for privacy for celebrities during times of family illness, with many advocating for more respectful conduct from the paparazzi.
