Noor Dubai Foundation has announced a remarkable increase in its national eye-care initiatives, signaling a standout year since its inception. The program, which provides complimentary screenings and treatments throughout the UAE, experienced an impressive 156% rise in treatment cases, assisting 554 patients from 2024 to 2025.
The Foundation reported a 47% expansion in its free screening and early detection services, particularly targeting workers' residential areas. This growth is part of broader efforts to enhance preventive eye care and ensure accessibility for at-risk populations.
Support from both government and private sectors has fueled this advancement, alongside a significant 61% increase in volunteer participation compared to the previous year, in line with the community-centric ethos of the 2025 Year of the Community.
At a recent ceremony honoring its partners, the Foundation showcased the year's achievements, which included over 7,000 free eye screenings, the dispensing of 1,273 pairs of prescription glasses, and referrals of 1,391 individuals for further evaluations, along with transferring 392 patients to specialized facilities for additional care.
The mobile clinic, active since 2014, has been indispensable, serving over 51,000 individuals, particularly from low-income brackets and communities with limited healthcare access.
These outcomes illustrate the Foundation's ongoing commitment to enhancing public health and diminishing preventable vision impairment throughout the UAE.
