Sheikh Mohammed Reflects on UAE’s AI and Innovation Drive at Annual Government Meetings

Abu Dhabi, UAE — November 6, 2025: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed progress on national programmes designed to advance the country’s standing in emerging, future-focused industries during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025.

The multi-day forum in Abu Dhabi, concluding on November 6, convened more than 500 representatives from federal and local government bodies to take stock of achievements, refine strategic priorities and introduce forward-looking initiatives.

Sheikh Mohammed said the nation’s direction is "anchored in the spirit of the Union and guided by the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed as we pursue our national priorities."

Among the initiatives unveiled were an AI Readiness Indicator to benchmark national preparedness for artificial intelligence adoption and a programme to identify 1,000 practical AI use cases across diverse sectors. These measures are intended to consolidate the UAE’s global leadership in technology and innovation.

The agenda also included the inaugural meeting of the Ministerial Development Council, bringing together ministers and senior officials from federal and local entities to align strategies and improve coordination. In parallel, Executive Council sessions for Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah took place to strengthen unified governance across the Emirates.

Noting the commitment of public sector teams, Sheikh Mohammed observed, "Our people remain devoted to enhancing the UAE’s leadership across sectors by prioritising innovation, quality and solutions that prepare us for the future."

The UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 offered both a showcase of the country’s strides in AI and a collaborative platform to accelerate its ambition to become a global hub for digital solutions, sustainable growth and technological excellence.
