Sheikh Khaled Engages with McLaren CEO in F1 Innovation Talks

Abu Dhabi is making significant strides to solidify its reputation as a key player in motorsport innovation. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, had a meeting with Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, in anticipation of the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The conversation revolved around strengthening strategic collaborations in advanced automotive technologies and artificial intelligence, with the goal of channeling cutting-edge innovations from the emirate into the global motorsport scene. Both parties examined possibilities for incorporating new tech solutions into racing strategies, vehicle performance, and fan engagement.

Joining Sheikh Khaled were significant figures including His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi; and His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince. Their involvement highlights Abu Dhabi’s dedication to fostering innovation and international cooperation in high-performance sectors.

This meeting serves to exemplify the emirate's ambition not only to host premier motorsport events but also to lead in the technological advancements shaping the future of racing and automotive greatness.
