Sheikh Hazza Evaluates Growth in Al Ain's Energy and Water Projects

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan assessed the advancements in Al Ain Region's energy and water sectors, focusing on pivotal projects that enhance infrastructure efficacy and ensure sustainable community services.

During the meeting, attended by a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy and TAQA, spearheaded by Dr Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Sheikh Hazza was informed about strategies aimed at bolstering resilience and improving crisis management in these vital sectors.

Officials communicated their initiatives to maintain reliable services amid emergencies and varying conditions, aiming to secure and sustain essential resources for the Al Ain community.

The dialogue included progress reports on various strategic infrastructure projects, which are aligned with the area's expanding population and urban growth, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and delivering superior services.

A review of the performance metrics for energy and water sector companies was also conducted, focusing on approved strategic and technical benchmarks while underscoring the importance of continuing to elevate service quality to meet international excellence standards.

Sheikh Hazza emphasized the necessity of advancing the infrastructure framework for power and water services through cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence, predicting a future bolstered by sustainability and resilience in both fields.

The delegation expressed gratitude towards Sheikh Hazza and the UAE's leadership for their persistent backing of the energy and water sectors, reaffirming their dedication to enhancing service efficiency and sustainability in accordance with the UAE's long-term development ambitions.

The meeting also featured Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Energy, and Jasim Husain Thabet, Group CEO and Managing Director of TAQA, alongside numerous officials from both agencies.
