His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has sanctioned an Emiri Decree that establishes the overarching organisational structure for the Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA).

Per this decree, the newly instituted framework will act as the formal backbone of the Authority's operations. The Sharjah Executive Council is tasked with issuing specific directives that delineate the complete organisational structure.

These directives will encompass the clear definition of roles, duties, and functions across diverse departments within the Authority. The Council will also be responsible for approving job descriptions to guarantee alignment with the Authority’s strategic goals and capabilities.

Moreover, the decree empowers the creation, merging, or dissolution of operational units within the SAA as deemed necessary. This initiative aims to bolster efficiency, refine procedures, and advance the Authority's core mission.

This decree underscores Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to enhancing institutional frameworks and improving the stewardship of its archaeological and cultural heritage.
