Saudi Interior Minister Celebrates Hajj 1447 Achievements

MAKKAH — The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, has celebrated the successful execution of the Hajj 1447 AH operational and security strategies, attributing this achievement to the collective efforts of national agencies and the Kingdom’s steadfast dedication to its pilgrims.

In a key meeting at the Ministry of Interior in Makkah, Prince Abdulaziz conveyed congratulations from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the personnel involved in the ministries of Interior, National Guard, and Defense, as well as the Presidency of State Security and the General Intelligence Presidency.

This meeting coincided with Eid Al-Adha and highlighted the successful management of the Hajj security operation, which ensured the smooth and safe movement of millions of pilgrims across the sacred sites.

Prince Abdulaziz noted that the comprehensive security and organizational strategies met all operational goals, backed by Saudi Arabia’s extensive human resources, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and cutting-edge technology. He remarked on the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, a commitment rooted in a national tradition stretching three centuries.

The Minister emphasized that the ongoing enhancements to Hajj services reflect Saudi Arabia’s dedication to improving the pilgrimage experience, in line with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030. He acknowledged the significant advancements made during this year’s season, which fostered efficient crowd control, elevated safety protocols, and better amenities for pilgrims.

Prince Abdulaziz also praised the skill and commitment of both military and civilian teams operating in various sectors during the Hajj, highlighting the effective coordination among governmental bodies that contributed to the successful provision of security, health, and logistical services.

In his remarks, he expressed gratitude to pilgrims and official Hajj delegations from across the globe for their compliance with established regulations and organizational protocols, which greatly facilitated a secure and orderly pilgrimage.

Looking forward, the Minister directed all relevant authorities to commence preparations for the upcoming 1448 AH Hajj season promptly, reinforcing the Kingdom’s strategy of proactive planning and ongoing enhancements to ensure improved operational readiness in the future.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami, the Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, provided a detailed overview of the security measures in place. He emphasized the significance of unified planning among participating agencies and the effectiveness of the Hajj Security Operations Center in overseeing developments and coordinating timely responses throughout the pilgrimage.

Al-Bassami stated that the integrated security framework was vital in upholding safety, managing crowd dynamics, and fostering a serene atmosphere for worshippers as they fulfilled their pilgrimage duties.

The meeting underscored Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing Hajj services through strategic foresight, advanced technologies, and interagency collaboration, reaffirming the Kingdom’s resolve to deliver a secure and seamless pilgrimage experience to millions of Muslims every year.
