Russia has achieved another milestone with the successful launch of the Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft, destined for the International Space Station (ISS) and transporting more than 2.5 tonnes of vital supplies.
As reported by Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, the spacecraft took off from Baikonur Cosmodrome and is currently en route to the ISS.
Among the cargo, there are 1,348 kg of provisions packed in the pressurized module. This comprises 483 kg of food, 333 kg dedicated to sanitary and hygiene supplies, 311 kg of equipment for upgrades and repairs, 146 kg of personal protective gear, and 75 kg of medical and scientific materials.
Additionally, the refueling section of the spacecraft carries 700 kg of propellant, 420 kg of water, and 50 kg of oxygen.
A significant item in this cargo is the Orlan-MKS suit No. 8, intended for use during spacewalks from the Russian segment of the ISS.
The Progress MS-34 is on track to dock with the Zvezda module of the ISS on April 28 at approximately 12:01 a.m. GMT.
