Rodgers Leads Steelers to Win, Miami’s Playoff Hopes End

Post by : Mina Carter

Aaron Rodgers showed he still has elite form, leading the Pittsburgh Steelers to a commanding 28-15 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The 42-year-old completed 23 of 27 passes, throwing two touchdowns and setting the record as the oldest quarterback in NFL history to finish a game with over 85% completions.

Pittsburgh stayed atop the AFC North, maintaining a one-game lead over Baltimore with three weeks left in the season. Rodgers connected with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and DK Metcalf for key touchdowns, while running back Kenneth Gainwell contributed 126 total yards, fueling the Steelers’ offense.

Miami, who had a four-game winning streak, saw its playoff hopes vanish. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw two late touchdowns but also recorded his 15th interception of the season, and the Dolphins struggled in the cold, going nearly scoreless in the third quarter.

Despite missing All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt due to injury, Pittsburgh’s defense stepped up, with Cam Heyward recording a sack and inspiring the team. Rookie Asante Samuel Jr. also made a key interception, highlighting the depth of the Steelers’ squad.

With three games remaining, Pittsburgh looks poised to solidify its playoff position, while Miami must now focus on next season.
