Beloved actor and comedian Satish Shah, celebrated for his extraordinary comedic timing, has sadly passed away at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. He drew his last breath at Hinduja Hospital, with fans and fellow actors expressing their grief over his departure.
Born in 1951 in a Gujarati family in Bombay State, Shah's journey in acting began in the 1970s. He became a household name with the hit sitcom Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi in 1984, in which he displayed his incredible talent by portraying 55 distinct characters. His comedic brilliance continued to shine in shows like Filmi Chakkar and Ghar Jamai, culminating in his iconic role as Indravadan Sarabhai in the acclaimed series Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004-06).
Shah's film career is equally noteworthy. His debut was in Bhagwan Parshuram (1970), followed by memorable performances in Umrao Jaan, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai, and the cult hit Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, where his comedic genius was lauded. During the 1990s and 2000s, he starred in popular films including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hero No. 1, Main Hoon Na, and Fanaa, with his last film appearance being in Humshakals (2014).
