Nitesh Tiwari’s highly awaited film, Ramayana: Part 1, is gearing up to captivate audiences across India. This cinematic adaptation features an impressive cast with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi portraying Sita, and Sunny Deol in the role of Hanuman. Set to debut during Diwali 2026, the film promises a grand modern retelling of the revered Hindu epic, making fans eager to witness its visual spectacle and dramatic performances.
The cast is reportedly deeply committed, having invested extensive time in preparation and character development for this monumental project. With the ambitious scale of production, weeks of training have gone into embodying their roles.
Ajinkya Deo, renowned for his work in both Hindi and Marathi films, takes on the significant role of Sage Vishwamitra, the mentor to Lord Rama. Sharing insights from the set, Ajinkya expressed admiration for Ranbir Kapoor’s charming nature.
He mentioned, “Ranbir has this incredible way of making you feel at ease. He often said, ‘Sir, beautiful shot!’ I really appreciated that. He playfully teased me about my age, but what impacted me most was his genuine spirit; he's simply authentic with no facade whatsoever.”
Ajinkya elaborated on how Ranbir's sincerity resonates on screen. “He embodies his true self, which forges a strong bond with viewers. Unlike in the past when actors had walls between themselves and their audience, today, there’s a refreshing honesty and connection.”
The film's narrative will explore key moments in Lord Rama's journey, featuring his childhood, the nurturing mentorship of Sage Vishwamitra, and his emergence as Ayodhya’s hero. Spectators can anticipate stunning visual effects, intricate sets, and compelling performances from the ensemble.
Ramayana: Part 1 is set to grace theaters on Diwali 2026, followed by Ramayana: Part 2 scheduled for Diwali 2027, culminating this epic narrative. Under Nitesh Tiwari’s direction and with such a proactive cast, this film is poised to leave significant footprints in the realm of Bollywood mythology, potentially redefining the genre.
