The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has wrapped up a groundbreaking India Roadshow, linking Indian enterprises with UAE possibilities in cities including Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and New Delhi. The initiative attracted over 200 firms from sectors like manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, and construction materials.
This week-long event highlighted RAKEZ’s pivotal role within the framework of the UAE–India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), showcasing its industrial environment as a competitive hub for Indian businesses aspiring to expand globally.
A notable achievement occurred in New Delhi with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RAKEZ and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This agreement paves the way for collaborative knowledge sharing, business events, delegation visits, and assisting Indian firms in accessing the UAE market.
The roadshow also commemorated the conclusion of the UAE–India Start-up Series, an innovative initiative focused on celebrating high-potential Indian start-ups. One of the notable winners, Bioreform from Hyderabad, specializes in producing biodegradable and compostable packaging solutions, and will receive support from RAKEZ to expand internationally.
Through engaging sessions and discussions, RAKEZ showcased its favorable business policies, joint venture prospects, technology collaborations, and the significant opportunity for Indian companies to broaden their operations in Ras Al Khaimah. This initiative further solidified the trade relationship between the UAE and India while establishing RAKEZ as a vital portal for Indian businesses pursuing regional and international growth.
