Qatar's Education Minister Emphasizes Skill Development for Youth

During a recent lecture at Qatar Foundation’s Academic Bridge Program (ABP), HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, emphasized the vital contribution of educational and academic institutions in nurturing national talent and capabilities. He asserted that these entities lay the groundwork for youth to acquire skills, knowledge, and readiness for future challenges.

The Minister pointed out that dedication, hard work, and resilience are crucial for young people aiming for their aspirations. Dr. Al Subaie made these remarks while addressing ABP's students, staff, and Abeer Al Khalifa, President of Pre-University Education at Qatar Foundation. The Minister urged students to stay committed to their learning journey and seize the opportunities presented by ABP.

Throughout his visit, the Minister reviewed various student-led initiatives, including projects centered on environmental sustainability and innovative applications of artificial intelligence. Established in 2001 by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation and Education Above All, the Academic Bridge Program stands as one of Qatar’s top academic institutions. Its goal is to prepare students for accepting universities in Education City, as well as other esteemed local and international institutions. ABP is essential in bridging the gap between pre-university education and opportunities in higher education.
