The initial groups of pilgrims from Qatar have landed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, embarking on their Hajj 2026 pilgrimage journey, which welcomes thousands of worshippers.
Flights carrying pilgrims commenced on Thursday, with departures from Hamad International Airport via Qatar Airways and Saudia services. Arrivals are set to unfold at Jeddah airports until Sunday, 7 Dhu Al Hijjah, through 18 well-approved Hajj campaigns.
The Qatari Hajj Affairs Department affirmed that extensive arrangements have been orchestrated in collaboration with Saudi authorities and the designated Qatari Hajj mission to ensure a seamless travel experience.
Streamlined airport services, expedited immigration processes, and organized baggage handling were established to facilitate pilgrims' journeys. Round-the-clock teams from the Qatari Hajj mission have been deployed at Saudi airports to assist with arrivals and transportation to Makkah accommodations.
Moreover, officials noted that arrangements have been made for direct luggage transfers to hotels, minimizing challenges for the pilgrims and ensuring a smooth commencement of their Hajj experience.
These collaborative efforts between Qatar and Saudi Arabia strive to offer safe and organized services during this significant annual religious observance.
