Qatar has embarked on a series of consultative meetings focusing on the National Human Rights Action Plan (2026-2030) this Thursday, aiming to create a robust framework for the protection and promotion of human rights across the nation.
This event was conducted by the committee tasked with drafting the national plan and was led by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad.
The meeting took place under the auspices of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, and included committee members alongside various experts engaged in the conversation.
During the discussions, attendees examined matters pertinent to the Ministry of Justice’s responsibilities and deliberated on proposals aimed at bolstering the National Human Rights Action Plan’s development, ensuring its adherence to Qatar’s national policies and current laws.
These consultative meetings reflect the committee's inclusive methodology, aimed at collecting opinions, sharing ideas, and involving diverse stakeholders in crafting a feasible national strategy.
By the conclusion of the session, participants reaffirmed the pivotal role of the National Human Rights Action Plan as a fundamental national initiative for upholding and advancing human rights across Qatar.
