The State of Qatar and Jordan have engaged in talks aimed at fortifying their bilateral relations while supporting diplomatic initiatives to alleviate regional tensions.
On Friday, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani had a phone conversation with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi.
The dialogue focused on exploring avenues to elevate cooperation between Qatar and Jordan across various areas of mutual interest. They also touched upon the ongoing Pakistan-led mediation efforts concerning relations between the United States and Iran, in addition to broader initiatives promoting de-escalation and stability in the region.
Both officials underscored the crucial role of sustained diplomatic dialogue in mitigating tensions and avoiding escalation in the region. They emphasized the necessity for constructive involvement of all stakeholders to foster peaceful resolutions through dialogue.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani reiterated Qatar’s commitment to diplomatic strategies targeting the underlying causes of regional conflicts, aiming for durable agreements that would help pave the way for lasting peace and stability.
