Qatar is reaffirming its dedication to diplomatic approaches and peaceful resolutions in light of escalating regional tensions. Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, pointed out that Qatar is actively engaged with significant international partners, including the United States, to stay updated on the situation and contribute to crisis resolution efforts.

During a recent media briefing, Al Ansari emphasized Qatar’s unwavering backing for Pakistan's mediation initiatives. He mentioned that it is premature to label the ongoing negotiations as a failure, as there is persistent global backing for dialogue and optimism about a beneficial outcome. Qatar remains closely aligned with Pakistan, which endeavors to involve all parties in the discussions.

Al Ansari indicated that Gulf nations maintain almost daily communications with crucial stakeholders, recognizing the crisis's direct implications for regional security and stability. He underscored that the cooperation among regional partners is deep-rooted and continues to be instrumental in mitigating tensions.

Addressing the concerns surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, he noted that any disruption or closure could escalate matters from a regional concern to a global crisis. Al Ansari explained the strait's critical role in energy supplies, trade routes, and worldwide logistics, pointing out that any blockade could have extensive repercussions on daily life and essential services globally.

He asserted that the responsibility to keep the Strait of Hormuz accessible is a shared international commitment. Qatar, he reiterated, is a dependable global energy associate and is collaborating with international allies to ensure maritime security and market steadiness.

On the topic of defense and diplomatic relations, Al Ansari highlighted Qatar's ongoing efforts to bolster its partnerships as part of a broader strategy to diversify international connections. He remarked that ties with Pakistan are robust and encompass various sectors of cooperation.

Regarding Syria, Qatar underlined its consistent support for the Syrian populace and its commitment to enhancing stability and development within the country. Relationships between the two nations are also advancing in political and economic realms.

Furthermore, Al Ansari confirmed that communications with Iran remain active. In a recent discussion between Qatar’s Prime Minister and Iran’s Foreign Minister, Qatar urged Iran to cease its regional attacks and shift focus toward peaceful resolutions. He reiterated Qatar's endorsement of mediation endeavors and ongoing negotiations.

In terms of security, he commended the Qatari Armed Forces for their role in safeguarding the nation during recent tensions and expressed support for international efforts directed at maintaining ceasefires and achieving long-term solutions. However, he cautioned that it is too soon to speculate on the future of any ceasefire as it relies on the commitment of all involved parties.

Turning attention to Lebanon, Al Ansari expressed Qatar’s strong support for the nation’s unity and sovereignty. He condemned recent violations leading to casualties and displacement, while welcoming the ceasefire as a constructive measure to ease tensions. He called for complete compliance with the ceasefire and a definitive international stance against violations.

Lastly, Al Ansari asserted that dialogue must be the foundation for resolving all regional disputes. He cautioned that further escalation would adversely affect the global economy, particularly in the oil and gas sectors. Qatar remains committed to supporting prolonged ceasefires when necessary to facilitate further negotiations and preclude additional instability.

Qatar persistently endorses diplomacy as the sole effective means to attain enduring peace and stability in the region.
