She plays the role of Mandakini, recently introduced by director SS Rajamouli through a dramatic poster showcasing her in a saree, exuding empowerment with a gun in hand. Co-starring in Varanasi is Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who plays the lead role of Rudhra. The teaser, unveiled on November 15, featured Mahesh galloping through the animated streets of Varanasi, providing a preview of the thrilling action and innovative storytelling to come.

Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays the antagonist Kumbha, promising riveting on-screen battles. Additionally, SS Rajamouli announced that Mahesh Babu will depict Lord Rama in part of the film, a sequence reportedly taking 60 days to shoot due to its ambitious nature.
