The Florida Panthers have won the Stanley Cup again! They beat the Edmonton Oilers 5–1 in Game 6, earning their second straight championship in front of cheering fans in Sunrise, Florida.

A big hero of the game was Sam Reinhart, who scored four amazing goals—just two shy of tying the record for most goals in a Cup-winning game. Two of his goals were scored into an empty net during the final moments. It was a huge moment everyone will remember!

Several other players helped too. Matthew Tkachuk scored the goal that sealed the win. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was amazing too, making 28 saves and stopping most shots from the Oilers. Sam Bennett, who scored 15 goals during the playoffs, was named the MVP of the whole tournament.

For Edmonton, Vasily Podkolzin scored the team's lone goal late in the game. Connor McDavid, Edmonton’s top star, praised Florida as a "heck of a team" and said every player played hard. But McDavid's team couldn't match the Panthers' energy and teamwork.

This win makes the Panthers the first team to win back-to-back Stanley Cups since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2021, and only the second team ever to beat the same opponent in the Finals in two straight years. They join an exclusive club in hockey history—and they did it in front of their own fans this time!

This victory continues a trend: teams from Florida have won four of the last six Stanley Cups. Canada’s long wait for a championship also continues—it’s now been over 30 years since a Canadian team last won.

Fans are already talking about how strong Florida’s team is—and whether they can win a third straight cup next year!
