As fans eagerly await the launch of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things this month, Millie Bobby Brown takes a moment to reflect on the bittersweet conclusion of a journey that kicked off when she was just 12 years old. Best known for her portrayal of the resilient and charming Eleven, Millie describes the experience as both surreal and profoundly emotional. “It was so emotional and so surreal,” Millie reveals. “But I feel incredibly grateful and honored to have been part of such a remarkable show for so many years and to portray such a wonderful character. I truly feel blessed.”
Having grown up under the spotlight, Millie confides that navigating fame at a young age has presented its challenges. “There is a pressure to get it all right,” she admits. “If you looked closely into anyone’s life, you could pick everything apart. So, it was definitely challenging.”
Fortunately, Millie wasn’t alone; her co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin provided support throughout the years. “Absolutely, we were in it together,” she expresses. “I’m really fortunate to have had that support.”
Out of all her cherished memories from Stranger Things, Millie cites her friendship with Noah Schnapp as the most significant. “I’m the third Schnapp, for sure,” she chuckles. “I honestly don’t know what I’d do without Noah in my life. He is my best friend, and that’s all I have ever known. Every new friendship I enter, I compare it to my friendship with Noah because it’s so unique. We are very much like siblings.”
Her voice softens as she speaks of their relationship: “We love each other so immensely and unconditionally. No matter what we face, we’re in it together until the end. Friendships like that are rare, so when you find one, hold onto it for dear life.”
In closing, Millie shares that Noah is the one person whose counsel she deeply cherishes—and the sentiment is mutual. “We look out for each other. It’s so genuine because we knew each other before the fame hit. I always want the best for him, and he feels the same for me. In this industry, it’s easy to question people’s motives, but with him, I never have to. His intentions are always pure and loving.”
As Millie Bobby Brown says goodbye to Stranger Things, her reflections capture not just the closing of a significant chapter, but also the enduring friendships and life lessons fostered along the way.
