The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has concluded a significant partnership aimed at constructing and refurbishing 13 schools in the Lahj and Al-Dhale regions of Yemen. The formal agreement was established through a videoconference with a civil society organization.
The agreement was executed by Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs at KSrelief.
This ambitious project will create new educational facilities for primary and secondary schools, particularly focusing on underdeveloped and isolated regions. The goal is to enhance educational access where infrastructure is either inadequate or in disrepair.
The initiative includes the construction of over 45 fully-equipped classrooms. This development aims to alleviate overcrowding and provide support to students in areas where educational opportunities have been adversely affected.
Approximately 59,851 individuals, including both male and female students, are expected to benefit from this project, helping them overcome the challenges posed by a lack of sufficient educational facilities.
This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s continuous humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to promote education in Yemen. To date, the program has successfully contributed to the enhancement and support of more than 1,200 educational facilities nationwide.
