Kiefer Sutherland Stars in Heartwarming Christmas Film Tinsel Town

Actor Kiefer Sutherland stars as Bradley Mack, a once-famous Hollywood actor whose career is fading. Known for being difficult on set, Mack struggles to find work after finishing the seventh movie in his action franchise. With few options left, he reluctantly accepts a role in a small-town Christmas pantomime in England, far from the glamorous West End stage.

In the film, Sutherland shows off his singing and dancing talents while exploring a range of emotions. Mack forms meaningful connections with his colorful co-stars and reconnects with his estranged young daughter.

Sutherland said at the London premiere, “It was heartwarming to follow a character who starts off not being his best self and, through the Christmas spirit and his daughter, becomes a better person. That’s a heartfelt, warm Christmas message.”

The 58-year-old actor also admitted, “I’ve never done a song and dance number before. It was challenging but exciting. After 40 years in this profession, finding something new to try is truly rewarding.”

Rebel Wilson plays Jill, the pantomime’s choreographer, while Theodora Williams, daughter of pop star Robbie Williams and actress Ayda Field, makes her acting debut as Jill’s daughter, Cara. Williams shared, “My mum advised me to enjoy the moment. I was worried about my Yorkshire accent, but I just focused on being in the moment, and it worked perfectly.”

Directed by Chris Foggin, Tinsel Town is designed as a family-friendly Christmas film celebrating the British pantomime tradition. Other notable cast members include Katherine Ryan as Mack’s agent and Derek Jacobi as Albert, a lifelong theatre devotee. Actress Maria Friedman said, “The film celebrates Britishness and kindness. It has a big, warm heart, which we all need right now.”
