On Friday night in Jaipur, a speeding Audi plowed into pedestrians, tragically claiming one life and injuring 15 others in the chaos.
Authorities report that the vehicle lost control, first hitting a road divider before barreling through stalls and food carts across a distance of about 30 meters. The Audi ultimately crashed into a tree, leaving considerable damage in its wake, including to several parked vehicles.

All 16 individuals impacted were swiftly taken to a nearby medical facility, with four suffering critical injuries that necessitated transfer to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital. One victim, identified as Ramesh Bairwa from Bhilwara, sadly succumbed to his injuries.
According to police, four individuals were in the Audi at the time, all reportedly under the influence of alcohol. One has been arrested, while the other three fled and are currently being pursued.
The driver, named Dinesh Ranwan, hails from Churu district in Rajasthan. The Audi has been confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed sorrow over the incident, urging that the injured receive adequate medical attention. Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar have also visited the hospital to evaluate the condition of the injured.
Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, promising strict measures against those responsible.
