Amid recent regional challenges, senior leaders in Abu Dhabi's healthcare system conducted an essential field assessment, focusing on patient care and preparedness. This initiative was coordinated in partnership with the Emergencies, Crises, and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, who chairs the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), engaged directly with patients at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. The purpose of the visit was to thoroughly assess their medical progress and review individualized treatment strategies, ensuring that the provision of care meets the highest standards.

Joining him were notable figures in healthcare, such as Her Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Dr. Marwan Alkaab, CEO of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, His Excellency Dr. Rashid Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, and His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri from the Response and Recovery Sector.

The officials interacted with both patients and their families, receiving detailed updates on the patients’ conditions from medical professionals. This dialogue underlined the essential need for integrated healthcare that considers both medical and emotional well-being.

Al Mansoori reassured the public that Abu Dhabi’s healthcare framework is performing efficiently, buoyed by advanced, intelligence-driven systems that facilitate real-time responses and ensure healthcare continuity regardless of challenges.

He pointed out the crucial function of the Unified Medical Operations Command Centre in delivering enhanced visibility across the health system, enabling anticipatory planning and prompt responses throughout the healthcare ecosystem.

“Our community's safety, wellbeing, and health remain our utmost priority,” asserted Al Mansoori. “Connecting with patients and their families solidifies our dedication to providing each person with comprehensive support and care.”

He concluded by noting that Abu Dhabi's health ecosystem is designed for resilience, seamlessly connecting various entities to sustain service while maintaining exemplary standards of care for the community.
